AbleLight is currently seeking a Business Development Manager for Colorado market. The primary responsibility of this role is to build partnerships and educate prospects on the benefits of working with AbleLight by clearly establishing the value of our services and how we are distinguished from our competitors with our service, culture, and commitment to individuals with developmental disabilities. Working closely with the VP Development and AVP Operations, will build, develop, and execute a growth plan that includes strategies for consistent brand building, community awareness campaigns, partnership campaigns and business development to drive a high volume of referrals that directly contribute to program growth in the market. Will build and maintain positive internal and external relationships by communicating results, working collaboratively to identify and mitigate risks and providing information and tools that support the achievement of new business and retention of prospects/partnership within the defined area of responsibility.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated success in health care or social services sales, proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally that drive business outcomes.
  • Must reside within Colorado market.
  • Ability to travel 40% to 60% travel in Colorado market.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to drive incremental revenue, create new relationships, nurture existing relationships and build loyalty.
  • Ability to understand the business of serving individuals with developmental disabilities and translate that experience and mission to others to the point of establishing partnerships for growth.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with many internal and external stakeholders to meet established goals.
  • Consistent track record of success prospecting for business.
  • Ability to listen to clients, understand their needs, and communicate effectively both with the client and within the organization.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in the assigned sales territory.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship database platforms, preferably MS Dynamics with strong data and analytic skills.

Responsibilities:Market and Prospect Identification and Analysis:
  • Develops a strategic business plan of new business opportunities.
  • Responsible for developing a diverse prospect pipeline of more than 200 potential partnerships, performing research, and building a robust business plan to gain new customers.
  • Achieves prospecting and growth goals aligned with market specific program/services.
  • Compiles competitive data, performs analysis, and watches market trends.
  • Maintains awareness of market regulatory requirements and market level systems of care activities to identify development opportunities.
Community Partnerships for Growth:
  • Works in collaboration with the AVP to build relationships with the identified leads and shares all the potential partnerships and opportunities that are available with AbleLight to increase the number of people we serve and services provided according to business plans.
  • Methodically qualifies, builds, and maintains a pipeline; maintains a volume of activities including outbound cold calls, emails, & social selling to meet and exceed performance metrics consistently. Ability to build and foster relationships with clients, being a true representative of AbleLights culture and brand.
  • Prepares proposals, presentations, and prospect communication as required.
  • Acts as a lead for organizational leadership, providing all materials and assets requested, ensuring follow-through for all business development activities, and tracking all activities related to individual prospects.
  • Executes business development activities, including the planning of events designed to engage clients, donors, and volunteers.
  • Organizes and implements business development events, including but not limited local state agencies, sponsorships for the Ignite Possibilities, trade shows, corporate and partnership meetings, and other identified events.
CRM Management and Standard Practices:
  • Maintains accurate and up to date information in our CRM system of all prospects and leads. Follows all the established standard operating practices for the field of business, and monitors local regulatory needs that impact our industry.
